A Better Way to Health Introduces Foot Baths

A Better Way to Health is excited to announce they now offer Ionic Cleanse Foot Spa treatments. "Repeated exposure to processed foods and today’s toxic environment is said to contribute to an accumulation of toxic substances in our bodies," explains owner Jet Tanner. These heavy metals and toxins are reputed to produce general discomfort or a feeling of malaise. Detoxification is generally the function of our liver and kidneys. "As recognized in reflexology, the foot is also a channel through which the body attempts to cleanse itself. The body’s natural detoxification process can now be aided very effectively with our relaxing, 30-minute Ionic Cleanse Foot Spa treatment" says Jet.

A Better Way to Health also welcomes licensed massage therapists Ron Falcon and Shaundra Gardner who will introduce specialized, hands-on treatments like Shiatsu and Thai Yoga Massage to their growing menu of services.

A Better Way to Health is located in Oakwood Square Business Center, 1954 Dairy Road in West Melbourne. For more information call 321-956-7777.

CASA VERDE HARDWARE Introduces Eco-Home Theatres

CASA VERDE HARDWARE is proud to announce the addition of home entertainment systems that are eco-friendly, energy efficient, and easy to use. "The philosophy behind the addition of this facet to our business is that big box movers sell inferior products with short lived warranties and poor product viability," explains owner Isabel Strzepka. "The electronic components which we have chosen are made to last and have a manufacturer’s warranty of at least two years and some even have lifetime warranties."

Because being eco-minded does not mean isolating yourself from technology and fun, CASA VERDE HARDWARE believes that with a quality installed home entertainment system the family can enjoy movies without the expense of gas, tickets or unhealthy snacks. "Parents can now have the ability to control what their kids eat, the friends they hang out with and the type of movies they are exposed to," says Isabel. "And with the money you save buy a bottle of wine and enjoy a movie-date night too."

CASA VERDE HARDWARE is located at 493 North Babcock Street in Melbourne. For more information call 321-574-0403.

Health For Life Announces New Scanning Technology

Health For Life is excited to announce the Pharmanex Antioxidant Laser Scanner is now a part of the services offered to address overall health care. "Knowing your antioxidant levels is as important as knowing your cholesterol or blood pressure levels" explains Sylvie Morin, Acupuncture Physician. "There are now over 30,000 studies linking free radical damage at the cellular level to not only premature aging, but also to virtually everything that ails us. Antioxidants are nutrients from fruits and vegetables that can neutralize free radicals. That is why the American Cancer Society recommends 7 to 10 servings of fruits and vegetables per day. Since most Americans do not consume this much, many doctors now recommend that their patients take vitamin supplements."

Pharmanex, the exclusive Nutritional Supplier to the U.S. Olympic Team, has the first Antioxidant Laser Scanner. Developed at the University of Utah’s Center for Bio-Medical research, the same facility that developed the first artificial heart, the scanner can measure your antioxidant levels in less than 3 minutes. "The test is painless, accurate and inexpensive. Developed with Nobel Prize winning science in Physics, this is a major scientific breakthrough." concludes Dr. Morin.

Is Your Right to Choose Natural Health Therapies

and Practitioners in Jeopardy?

"Recently, the Department of Health (Department) interpreted Florida law essentially to mean that you may not use the gentle complementary or alternative health care therapies ("CATH care") and practitioners of your choice," said attorney and Florida Health Freedom Action advocate Deborah Miller.

Florida doesn’t license many low risk CATH care professions, including Reiki, aromatherapy, homeopathy and traditional naturopathy. Yet the Department has declared that only licensed practitioners, such as massage therapists and acupuncturists, may deliver these therapies.

Representative Rene Garcia, Chairman of the House of Representatives’ Health Care Regulation Committee, is committed to increasing consumers’ access to health care and responsible state regulation. Rep. Garcia said, "It appears that the Department’s position overlooks Floridians’ Constitutional right to be free of non essential governmental interference in their personal lives, including their choice of CATH care practitioners and therapies. The Department’s position underscores a critical need for clarification of Florida’s health care regulation laws."

"Contact your legislators in the Florida Senate and House of Representatives. Ask if they intend to fight for your right to choose the gentle, natural health therapies and practitioners who you decide are right for you," urges Miller.

"Florida Health Freedom Action’s website www.floridahealthfreedom.org will tell you how. Your elected representatives want to hear about your concerns. They want your support so that they can support you at our state capitol."
