Carole Schiller Returns to Cocoa Village

Carole Schiller, LMT and Facial Specialist, is returning to Cocoa Village Massage & Skin Care in October. In June Carole was diagnosed with cancer. She has completed all her chemo and radiation and is on the road to recovery. Carole sends her deepest thanks to all her friends, family and clients for their cards, prayers and best wishes during this time. Carole tells us, "I call this period of time my speed bump. It slowed me down and made me realize what is really important."

Because of this incident in Carole’s life she plans to extend her practice with a specialty in cancer patients. She will attend training that enables her to work with people who are undergoing cancer treatment. “Believe me; I know the value of a good relaxing massage in the midst of all the pain, nausea, lack of appetite and depression. A loving, nurturing massage can lift spirits and give the gift of control over your body, if only for a couple of hours,” says Carole.

New Acupuncture Office in Melbourne

A new office has opened in the Centre at Suntree offering healthy alternatives to healing naturally using acupuncture, natural herbs, and counseling for lifestyle changes and home remedies. Deliece White, an Acupuncture Physician with 19 years of experience in legal counseling for disability sufferers, offers her services now to help area residents relieve stress, correct imbalances, and restore normal functioning of aging or damaged body systems. “Patients can expect the acupuncture treatments with natural herbal support to quickly restore energy, relieve pain, boost their immune systems, clear their thinking and promote feelings of well-being and peacefulness,” says Dr. White.

The human body contains the same five elements found in nature, and the individual instruction Dr. White gives each patient concerning their particular health status, brings illumination and dispels the confusion experienced by most. “When the patient is informed about how the human body normally operates when it is in a healthy state and then prepared with the knowledge needed to restore that healthy state, they feel empowered,” says Deliece. “The experience of an acupuncture treatment surprises newcomers who may be needle phobic because the insertion is barely detectable, but the results are often dramatic.” Many conditions are readily treatable such as problems with breathing, fertility, chronic/acute pain, arthritis, flu, kidney stones, gall stones, heart problems and especially that feeling that something is just not quite right.

Deliece White is a Licensed Acupuncture Physician and Diplomate of Acupuncture with the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). For more information or free consultation please call 321-626-8638. The clinic is located in Suntree at 6300 N. Wickham Road, Suite 117, Melbourne FL, inside the chiropractic office next to the YMCA.

The Mad Cowboy Come to Cocoa Beach

Healthy Planet of Brevard will be hosting Howard Lyman, "The Mad Cowboy", at the Cocoa Beach Library at 7pm on Friday, October 21st. Howard will discuss his new book, No More Bull!, show a short documentary film, and follow up with a short question and answer session.

In 1996, when Howard Lyman warned America on The Oprah Winfrey Show that Mad Cow Disease was coming to America, offended cattlemen sued him and Oprah both. Not only were Lyman and Oprah vindicated in court, but events have proved many of Lyman's predictions absolutely right. Mad Cow Disease has come to America, and Lyman argues persuasively that the problem will only grow more deadly until our government deals with it seriously.

In Howard's first book, "Mad Cowboy", Lyman, a fourth-generation Montana rancher turned vegetarian then vegan, told the story of his personal transformation after a spinal tumor, which he believes was caused by agricultural chemicals, nearly left him paralyzed. In "No More Bull!", Lyman uses his humor, compassion, firsthand experience in agriculture, and command of the facts of health to argue that we might all profit by transforming our diets. He makes a powerful case that Alzheimer's is yet another disease linked to eating meat. “If you've been confused by the competing claims of the Atkins Diet, the South Beach Diet, and other fad diets, Howard will set you straight,” says John Cielukowski of Healthy Planet of Brevard. “Lyman's got a message for meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans; and the message is that we can all do better for ourselves and the planet.”

The Cocoa Beach Library is located at 550 North Brevard Avenue, Cocoa Beach, FL.
