Green Montessori Pre-school in Palm Bay
The Montessori Village Green is excited to offer pre-school classes based on the educational philosophy of teaching children the values of self-respect, appreciation of uniqueness, and the recognition of dignity within each person. Classrooms are made up of children 3-5 years old. The mixed age grouping corresponds to Maria Montessori’s theory of child development which is based on a three-year cycle. Learning is on an individual basis with each child progressing at his own pace. All lessons (practical life, sensorial, language, math and geography) are sequenced from concrete, hands-on, to abstract.
The classroom is a thriving community where children are treated with respect and dignity. Maria Montessori believed that from birth to six a child’s mind absorbs effortlessly and quickly. She states, "Impressions do not merely enter the mind; they form it."

Shamanic Healing in Indian Harbour Beach
Suzanne Schoemer, graduate of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, has opened a new practice in Indian Harbour Beach. Shamanic healing is a worldwide phenomenon more than 35,000 years old. It is practiced on all continents, underlies and precedes all religious traditions, and addresses the spiritual and emotional aspects of disease. When the shaman headliner unites with the power and compassion of the spirits, an integration of mental, emotional, and spiritual harmony occurs within an individual; a person becomes power filled and powerful. The results are often a miraculous easing of physical symptoms.
Suzanne’s practice includes extensive experience with soul retrieval, depossession, shamanic counseling and working with those who are dying. Suzanne’s training as a clinical chaplain and as a shamanic healer gives her a unique opportunity to relieve the suffering of the dis-spirited and dis-eased. A graduate from the Foundation for Shamanic Studies’ Three Year Program in Shamanism and Shamanic Healing, Suzanne has 21 years of experience as a shaman.

New Technology Combats Super Bug
Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a bacterium responsible for some difficult-to-treat infections in humans. Recent outbreaks of MRSA in many school districts around the country have school administrators and parents concerned. Joyce Rizzo, an independent business owner for EcoQuest International, now has a new system available to businesses, schools systems, and individual home owners in an effort to slow down and stop the deadly strain.
Joyce explains, "A new technology known as ActivePure (RCI), developed by Tennessee-based EcoQuest International has proven in pre-reviewed, published university studies to reduce Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus on inoculated surfaces." Mike Jackson EcoQuest founder adds, "ActivePure safely inactivates germs in the environment 24 hours a day, without sprays or wipes." Testing has shown the units reduce other bacteria, viruses, yeast, mold and fungi on surfaces by up to 99 percent. Products using ActivePure (RCI) have been installed in schools, day cares, nursing homes and restaurants and this technology is now available to consumers.

John Douillard Conducts Sebastian Workshop
Master Ayurvedic Doctor, teacher, and author John Douillard is giving a workshop on the Ayurvedic approach to anxiety and depression. Ayurveda is an ancient system of medicine developed in India that treats the whole person; mind, body and spirit. Participants will discover how cycles of anxiety and depression work in the body and what they can do to free themselves from this cycle. Dr. Douillard holds a PhD in Ayurvedic Medicine and is the author of the 3-Season Diet, Body, Mind and Sport, Perfect Health for Kids, and The Encyclopedia of Ayurvedic Massage. New Book Aims to Unify Thought
Valerie Van Haltern’s new book, Across the Phantom Divide, was written to cross the world’s cultures and bring people together in unity and mutual understanding, as we move toward a shared consciousness of peace for our planet.
"Each of us can bring this consciousness to the frontlines of our everyday world," says Van Haltern. "We are given daily opportunities to explore the meaning of our existence in ways that broaden understanding and harness our capabilities for peace." In so doing, we step across what she terms "the phantom divide" to a place where visions are realized in the light of the eternal universe.
The author bases her writings on her experiences as a writer/producer/director, investigational reporter and research writer working many frontlines around the world, where she’s observed unconscionable wrongs and inhumane abuses. Along the way, she’s studied numerous philosophies and religions, traveled nations and experienced her own spiritual awakening while visiting the barrios of Granada Nicaragua.
Van Haltern uses her work as a tool to aid orphans and homeless children around the world. She sees her larger role as helping to broaden the path of peace that belongs to all.
Van Haltern’s book will be released this month through Trafford Publishers and AcrossThePhantomDivide.com.
